I’m Linsey “Linsey Lou,” a maker, crafter and designer inspired by my Grandad’s nickname. I create sea-glass pendants from Gower finds and appliqué tote bags of Swansea and Gower scenes, plus themed mugs and gifts. My work is sold in Mumbles, Swansea, Quirky Beauty, and at craft fairs. I just love making!
Hi I’m Linsey Thomas but I’m known as Linsey Lou for my crafts, as it’s what my Grandad called me when I was little!
I’m a maker, crafter, designer, recycler and creator of many different crafts. I love making things and I find it very relaxing in my craft room, which is full of coloured and patterned drawers containing my lovely crafting tools and materials.
I first started out making seaglass and sea pottery pendants from the unique pieces I found on the Gower beaches whilst walking my dogs. I don’t change the pieces I find in any way - just wrap them in wire and place them on a cord.
From there I have developed designs to make appliqué panel tote bags of local Swansea and Gower scenes and I’m developing a range of local themed items such as mugs, coasters and water bottles using photos of my appliqué panels.
You can currently find my products in Cream in Mumbles and my pendants in Quirky Beauty in Fforestfach, as well as at various craft festivals and fayres around the country throughout the year.
