Our commitment to accessibility

Felt Like Rainbows and Radical Rainbows Art Collective are trading names of Sammy Young, a sole trader based in Wales. We are committed to ensuring our websites are accessible to all users, regardless of disability, assistive technology, or the device used to browse.

We believe that everyone deserves equal access to creative, independent art and craft — and that includes equal access to our online shop and content.

Compliance status

Our websites are built on the Wix platform, which provides built-in accessibility features designed in accordance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA — the standard referenced in most international accessibility regulations and the UK Equality Act 2010.

We have used the Wix Accessibility Wizard to identify and address accessibility issues across our site pages. The following measures have been applied:

• Correct heading structure applied throughout site pages

• Images have been given descriptive alternative (alt) text where possible

• Colour combinations have been reviewed to meet the required contrast ratios

• The site language has been set correctly for screen reader compatibility

• Content order has been structured so keyboard and screen reader navigation flows logically (left to right, top to bottom)

• All interactive elements including the contact form, newsletter signup, account login and checkout are keyboard operable

• Semantic HTML components are used throughout, providing correct meaning to assistive technologies

• Disturbing or autoplay motion has been minimised

Known limitations

While we strive to make our websites as accessible as possible, some limitations exist due to our use of the Wix platform and third-party services:

• Wix cannot guarantee full compliance with all accessibility laws and worldwide regulations. As a platform-built site, some backend elements are outside our direct control.

• Certain third-party content embedded on the site (for example, social media feeds, embedded videos, or payment processing elements) may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards, as these are governed by the respective third parties.

• Some older product images in our shop may not yet have complete alt text. We are working through these on an ongoing basis.

• PDF documents linked from the site may not be fully accessible. We aim to provide accessible alternatives where possible.

We are continually working to improve the accessibility of both websites and will update this statement as improvements are made.

Technical information

Our websites are compatible with the following browsers and assistive technologies:

• Screen readers including NVDA (Windows) and VoiceOver (iOS/macOS)

• Current and recent versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge

• Keyboard-only navigation

• Browser zoom up to 200% without loss of content or functionality

The sites are rendered with correct language settings so that screen readers can correctly interpret and vocalise content.

Interactive features

The following interactive features are present on our websites. We have taken steps to ensure each is accessible:

• Account login — keyboard navigable, with clear labels and error messages

• Online checkout — provided through Wix Stores, designed to be keyboard and screen reader compatible

• Contact form — all fields are labelled and the form can be completed without a mouse

• Newsletter signup — clearly labelled with visible focus indicators
