Okay⦠deep breath.
Is anyone else absolutely shattered or is it just me??Because honestly ā this year has been A YEAR. Like, one long ridiculous rainbow-coloured marathon where the finish line keeps moving and I keep telling myself ājust one more eventā or ājust one more custom orderā and suddenly itās December and I havenāt sat down since March.
But⦠looking back⦠wow. I actually did loads. So here it is ā the official, chatty, messy, proud little recap for Felt Like Rainbows 2025. š
šļø ALL THE STALLS (I think my legs still hurt)
I swear Iāve spent more time behind tables this year than in my own house. We did so many stalls. Like, ādid I accidentally join a travelling circus?ā levels of stalls.
Some highlights:
Local craft markets where I spent half the day chatting to lovely people and the other half trying not to drop felt pieces everywhere.
Pop-up fairs where I definitelyĀ forgot my float, my scissors, or my brain.
And of course the Cor Curiad Christmas FairĀ ā an actual chaotic sparkle storm of lights, mince pies, and me trying to tape things to a table that Did Not Want To Be Taped.
But honestly?Meeting people face-to-face, hearing their stories, seeing their reactions when they pick up a piece they love ā thatās the stuff that keeps me going (even when Iām half-asleep on my feet).
šØ Custom Designs: AKA āyes I can make that⦠probablyā
Custom orders absolutely popped OFF this year.
Baby shoes, personalised pieces, gifts, little one-offs, weird requests I had to stare at for a minute before saying āokay but hear me outā¦ā ā all of it.
I love doing custom work because it feels like this magical secret collaboration between me and someoneās imagination. And you lot gave me such gorgeous ideas this year. Also: thank you for being patient when I was running on 2 hours sleep and a questionable amount of caffeine.
š Big Wins (hidden under the exhaustion)
Somehow, while chaotically running from stall to stall like a rainbow-covered gremlin, we actually had major wins:
Built a stronger community at events
Reached more people than ever before
Improved the look and layout of stall displays
Created pieces Iām genuinely proud of
Grew custom orders into a realĀ part of the business
And somewhere between all the fairs, commissions, last-minute gluing sessions, and āSammy are you okay??ā momentsā¦Felt Like Rainbows actually leveled upĀ this year.
š So what now?
Right now?I need a nap the size of Wales.
But after that?More making.More experimenting.More events (yes, even though Iām complaining).More custom pieces that make you smile.More rainbows everywhere, because the world needs them.
Thank you for sticking with me through another colourful, chaotic, over-caffeinated year.Thank you for supporting my tiny business and my big dreams.Thank you for choosing handmade when you couldāve gone anywhere else.
Hereās to a brighter, calmer (lol who am I kidding), even more colourful 2026. ššāØ
